European Union invests $6.7 billion in Dnipropetrovsk region in 2014

In 2014, the Dnipropetrovsk regional economy obtained more than $7.7 billion of foreign investments. The European Union invested $6.7 billion.

The management of foreign trade relations at Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration told an Ukrinform's correspondent.

"Investments were obtained from 24 countries of the European Union. The largest investors came from Germany - over $4.6 billion, Cyprus - almost $2.7 billion, the Netherlands - $185.1 million, the UK - $173.4 million dollars," said the officials.

As a background note, the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Tombinski visited the city of Dnepropetrovsk to participate in the opening of the first office of Agency for local democracy in that city.
