Ukraine adjusted rules for open sky - minister

Ukraine could adjust the aviation regulations that allowed to open our sky and create new destinations for new airlines in a short period of time.

Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andrii Pyvovarsky told reporters at a press conference in western city of Lviv during the opening of a new Atlasjet airline flight that linked the western regional center with the capital Thursday.

"We hope that this maiden flight will be the start of a great tradition, the arrival of new airline carriers in the Ukrainian market. The ministry, supported by the President of Ukraine and Prime Minister, could adjust aviation rules in a short period of time that allowed to open Ukrainian sky and create new destinations for new airlines," said the official.

He said Ukraine will sign an agreement on the joint aviation space with European partners by the end of this year. This will allow its citizens to buy tickets for $5. Also, it will offer a large selection low-cost airlines.
