Ukraine to sign 'open skies' with US

The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine hopes this week to sign the agreement with the United States on liberalization of air transport between the two countries, which will provide an opportunity to simplify the procedure of flights and to remove a number of restrictions.

Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarsky said this at the briefing on July 11, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I hope next week I will sign the open skies agreement with the United States," the Minister said.

As a reminder, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine implemented the "open skies" principle in the Lviv airport on April 1, and in the Odesa airport on June 29. The Infrastructure Ministry also intends to sign the open skies agreement with the EU until the end of the year.
