China plans to build seaport elevator in Ukraine for $2.5 billion

China plans to invest $2.5 billion in construction of a 50,000-100,000 tonnes seaport elevator in Ukraine.

First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Yaroslav Krasnopolsky told reporters Tuesday at a press conference, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have already got "representatives" who are ready to build a seaport elevator at a 50,000-100,000 tonnes in capacity and raise around $2.5 billion from the Chinese investors," Krasnopolsky said.

He also noted protocols haven't been signed yet, but investors have already arrived in Ukraine and expressed their willingness to have the seaport elevator constructed.
